چکیده

In this paper we introduce a gamification model for encouraging sustainable multi-modal urban travel in modern European cities. Our aim is to provide a mechanism that encourages users to reflect on their current travel behaviours and to engage in more environmentally friendly activities that lead to the formation of sustainable, long-term travel behaviours. To achieve this our users track their own behaviours, set goals, manage their progress towards those goals, and respond to challenges. Our approach uses a point accumulation and level achievement metaphor to abstract from the underlying specifics of individual behaviours and goals to allow an Simon Wells University of Aberdeen, Computing Science, Meston building, Meston Walk, Aberdeen, AB24 3UE e-mail: [email protected] Henri Kotkanen University of Helsinki, Department of Computer Science, P.O. 68 (Gustaf Hllstrmin katu 2b), FI00014 UNIVERSITY OF HELSINKI, FINLAND e-mail: [email protected] Michael Schlafli University of Aberdeen, Computing Science, Meston building, Meston Walk, Aberdeen, AB24 3UE e-mail: [email protected] Silvia Gabrielli CREATE-NET Via alla Cascata 56/D Povo 38123 Trento Italy e-mail: [email protected] Judith Masthoff University of Aberdeen, Computing Science, Meston building, Meston Walk, Aberdeen, AB24 3UE e-mail: [email protected] Antti Jylhä University of Helsinki, Department of Computer Science, P.O. 68 (Gustaf Hllstrmin katu 2b), FI00014 UNIVERSITY OF HELSINKI, FINLAND e-mail: [email protected] Paula Forbes University of Aberdeen, Computing Science, Meston building, Meston Walk, Aberdeen, AB24 3UE e-mail: [email protected]

The Application of Anthropomorphic Gamification within Transitional Healthcare: A conceptual framework

This paper proposes a framework for the application of anthropomorphic interfaces in gamification for transitional healthcare. The framework bridges the theories around anthropomorphic research, gamification research, transitional health research, with the views of 15 field experts and a survey of 33 users. A Gamification Model to Encourage Positive Healthcare Behaviours in Young People with Long Term Conditions

Young people living with long term conditions will eventually have to transfer their care to the adult setting. Application of Discrete 3-level Nested Logit Model in Travel Demand Forecasting as an Alternative to Traditional 4-Step Model

This paper aims to introduce a new modelling approach that represents departure time, destination and travel mode choice under a unified framework. Through it, it is possible to overcome shortages of the traditional 4-step model associated with the lack of introducing actual travellers’ behaviours. This objective can be achieved through adopting discrete 3-level Nested Logit model that represen...
